Weather: Saying Texas Weather is unpredictable is an understatement — TNT will give as much notice as possible if weather conditions do not permit us to launch. Check the TNT Facebook page or look for an email for launch status: https://www.facebook.com/tripolinorthtexas/
Waiver: Commercial Motors: 32,000 ft AGL
Research Motors: 29,000 ft AGL
College Teams: We encourage all college team members to get Tripoli certified. The prefect will be available to witness flights and administer cert tests. If you plan on launching a large group project for Spaceport America Cup, SDS, SLI… please coordinate with us before the launch. (Contact the prefect at the email address below.)
Motors: All flights must stay under the waiver! Let us know if you plan on flying anything larger than an M.
High Power Flyers: Must produce a current TRA or NAR membership card indicating your cert level
Restrictions: Sparky Motors - may be allowed depending on field conditions - the launch director will decide no later than Friday evening before the launch
Port-a-Potty - available on the field
Range Fees: (note: there is also a small PayPal fee added applied at registration)
Model Rockets (<=G motor) – Free
Student Club Members – $15,
TNT Club Members – $30
Non-Members – $40
Port-a-Potty donation: Most of the launch fees go to the cost of the Port-a-Potty ($195 per launch). We will gladly accept donations for the Port-a-Potty so we can use launch fees to improve the club infrastructure.
