Announcing the February 2025 TNT Launch in
Seymour, TX!

Welcome to a new year and the continuation of a great launch calendar for the 2025 season!!!

Our second launch of the new year will be held at our field in Seymour, TX. This will be a 2 day launch on February 22nd and 23rd.

Spectators welcome! There is no charge to come out and watch the rockets fly! Bring a chair, shade, and something to drink (no alcohol during launch hours please). All we ask is that you pre-register and accept our liability waiver.

We have made some enhancements to the registration process so please read the information below and on the web page that is dedicated to the Seymour field.

The following rules will apply for our Seymour launches:

1.  Advanced Online Pre-Registration for this event is required for everyone attending - even spectators!! You can register online by using the registration button on the calendar event to complete the process.

2. The launch will be conducted on privately owned land and we require all flyers and spectators to sign a liability waiver to attend. Agreement to this waiver will be included in the online registration process.

3. To participate as a "High-Power Flyer" at this launch - you must be a registered member of the National Tripoli Rocketry Association (TRA) or the National Association of Rocketeers (NAR) with a currently active status. Please be prepared to present your membership card when you check in at the field.

4. Membership in our local club, Tripoli North Texas (TNT) is not required - but is appreciated!!

5. The fees for this launch are as follows:

Spectators and Model Rocket fliers (A-G motors) Free
TNT Club Student Members: $10.00

TNT Family & Club and Members: $20.00

Non-TNT Members: $30.00

Note to College Teams:

A. Only the "Flier of Record" for your team needs to register as a flier and pay the launch fee.

B. All team members attending the launch need to register individually but should select the spectator option and are not charged a fee to attend. However, for insurance purposes, any team member wanting to cross the flight line and participate in actually launching the rocket must be national TRA or NAR member and should check in at the registration desk and present your membership card upon arrival at the field.

C. Members of college teams should review the section of the website titled "College Team Details" for additional information.

Additional Details:

Launch Schedule:

Saturday the 22th: 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Sunday the 23th: 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM

Launch Setup and Volunteering:

Setup will be in the afternoon of Friday the 21th. Volunteers are appreciated!!

Acceptable Rocket Motors:

All commercial and research motors are acceptable up to the O impulse.

Approval of Sparky motors is dependent on field conditions. The launch director will make a determination before the launch if they will be allowed.

Harry “The Motor Man” Spears will be onsite with a full complement of motors for sale.

High Performance Flights:

We welcome large and complex flights but would like the opportunity to review your flight plan in advance of the launch.

If you plan on flying anything larger than an L motor or have an expected altitude in excess of 16,000 feet, please provide a summary of your flight in the registration section showing motor size, expected altitude and any special launch equipment requirements.

RV’s and Camping:

Both RV’s and camping are allowed at the launch site. No open fires are allowed.

Rest Room Facilities & Donations:

"Porta Potties" will be provided on site. As Always - Donations are appreciated to cover the cost of the Porta-a-Potty ($200+ Rental Fee)

Social Event:

After the launch on Saturday evening, we have an informal gathering at Cache Creek Hunt Club - app. 5 minutes from the field. We normally cook a nice dinner and socialize about the day's activities. All fliers and spectators are welcome!! if you would like to attend, please note that on your registration so we can get an approximate count in attendance for the food.

The event is BYOB and donations will be accepted to cover the cost of the meal.
