Lone Star Cup
and the March 2026 TNT Launch
Seymour, TX!
We are excited to announce the Second Annual Lone Star Cup college competition!!
The Lone Star Cup will be held in in conjunction with our normal March Club launch at the Rocket Ranch in Seymour, TX.
The Lone Star Cup competition will be held on Saturday the 28th with an awards ceremony and banquet that evening.
The TNT Club Launch will be the normal full day Saturday the 28th and 1/2 Sunday the 29th. Members attending the Club Launch are welcome to stay Saturday evening and enjoy the buffet dinner at the field. The dinner will be an all you can eat buffet catered buy our friend Craig Peters. The cost is $25 per person, and you must register in advance to participate in the dinner!
Setup for the launch will be Friday March 27th and the Launch will be held on Saturday the 28th and Sunday the 29th.
Spectators welcome! There is no charge to come out and watch the rockets fly! Bring a chair, shade, and something to drink (no alcohol during launch hours please). All we ask is that you pre-register and accept our liability waiver.
We have made some enhancements to the registration process so please read the information below and on the web page that is dedicated to the Seymour field.
The following rules will apply for our Seymour launches:
1. Advanced Online Pre-Registration for this event is required for everyone attending - even spectators!! You can register online by using the registration button on the calendar event to complete the process.
2. The launch will be conducted on privately owned land and we require all flyers and spectators to sign a liability waiver to attend. Agreement to this waiver will be included in the online registration process.
3. To participate as a "High-Power Flyer" at this launch - you must be a registered member of the National Tripoli Rocketry Association (TRA) or the National Association of Rocketeers (NAR) with a currently active status. Please be prepared to present your membership card when you check in at the field.
4. Membership in our local club, Tripoli North Texas (TNT) is not required - but is appreciated!!
5. The fees for this launch are as follows:
Spectators and Model Rocket fliers (A-G motors) Free
TNT Club Student Members: $10.00
TNT Family & Club and Members: $20.00
Non-TNT Members: $30.00
Saturday Night Dinner $25.00
Note to College Teams:
A. All Registration for the competition is done offline through Olivia Johnson and no teams need register though the TNT web Portal.

Club Launch Schedule:
Saturday the 28th: 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Sunday the 29th: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Launch Setup and Volunteering:
Setup will be on Friday the 27th. We are starting early because we have to put up the full setup for the Lone Star Cup!!
Volunteers are appreciated!!
Acceptable Rocket Motors:
All commercial and research motors are acceptable up to the O impulse.
Approval of Sparky motors is dependent on field conditions. The launch director will make a determination before the launch if they will be allowed.
Harry “The Motor Man” Spears will be onsite with a full complement of motors for sale.
High Performance Flights:
We welcome large and complex flights but would like the opportunity to review your flight plan in advance of the launch.
If you plan on flying anything larger than an L motor or have an expected altitude in excess of 17,000 feet, please provide a summary of your flight in the registration section showing motor size, expected altitude and any special launch equipment requirements.

RV’s and Camping:
Both RV’s and camping are allowed at the launch site. No open fires are allowed.

Rest Room Facilities & Donations:
"Porta Potties" will be provided on site. As Always - Donations are appreciated to cover the cost of the Porta-a-Potty ($200+ Rental Fee)
